Windows Vista represents the latest operating system released by the software giant Microsoft that was meant to revolutionize the work on our systems and other computer activities. The application detected and removed 100% of the infections.

This version of Windows is regarded as the most secure edition of the operating system, containing several tools to protect the computer: firewall, application control and Windows Defender antispyware tool.

Although Windows Vista should be safe, there are a lot of threats already available that are able to harm our systems and are created especially for Windows Vista operating system.

It's obvious that Vista users must install an antivirus solution but the market is enormous, offering an impressive number of utilities. Kaspersky Antivirus is one of the most known applications that are able to discover and remove infections, being installed on millions of computers from all around the world. Because Windows Vista is continuously spreading, Kaspersky Lab developed a special edition of the antivirus solution compatible with this version of the operating system. Virus Bulletin, one of the most important security authorities in the entire world, conducted multiple tests on several products, Kaspersky being the only tool that blocked 100 percent of the infections.

“Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 passed the test with flying colors: it detected and removed 100% of all the malicious programs used in the test. Virus Bulletin experts also mentioned the product’s easy-to-use interface, its high performance and file scanning quality. For providing a high level of security for home platforms based on the Windows Vista operating system, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 was recognized as one of the best IT security products on the market and received the Virus Bulletin 100% award,” it is mentioned in an article posted on the official page of the antivirus solution.

NOD32 Is Better Because !

By KFAS on 12.02.2007 - 16:02
nod32 includes spyware/malware protection in addition to 100% virus test results. additionally it has far lower resource requirements and overhead the kspy.

also nod32 is over four times faster at scanning files than kspy.

so the choice is imple realy use nod32

nod is s h i t !

By mspeedo on 12.02.2007 - 16:02
kaspersky is the best choice, i had nod32 and it's a crappy antivirus.

NOD32

By inter4ever on 12.02.2007 - 16:02
nod32 is very good and it being complicated and not directed towards beginners does not mean it's bad.

BOTH are good

By 1clicC on 12.02.2007 - 16:02

By i8sme on 12.02.2007 - 17:02
will the kaspersky is 6 that im using on my xp pro at the moment would still work on vista?

both av have their shortcomings, who cares

By samic on 12.02.2007 - 17:02
antivirus-wise, nod32 only slightly better than kaspersky in terms of detection rate and performance. kaspersky has way more false-positive than the others. for rootkits detection however, nod32 really sux. btw, both nod32 and kaspersky sux for enterprise management and deployment.

To all the NOD32-fanboys

By freibooter on 12.02.2007 - 18:02
nod32 does not use "less resources"!
nod32 is significantly slower in scanning files than kaspersky when the "advanced heuristik" is turned on and is significantly less secure than kaspersky (or many other virus-protections for that matter) when it is turned off.
it used to be turned off by default (thus the outdated claim that nod32 is fast and doesn't use many resources) but i think they changed that a while ago. and nod32's on-access scanner is incredibly retarded, scanning the same files over and over and over again even when they did not change at all ... causing serious slowdown to a lot of systems.

kaspersky has one of the most advanced and yes, fastest, on-access scanners i know. with icheck files are only scanned when they actually changed and the signature database is one of the best and most up to date there is since years.

good-no-good

By menotknow on 12.02.2007 - 20:02
nod32 is good: no virus found ever!
kaspersky also good same story :p

Nod32 vs Kaspersky

By sanshin on 13.02.2007 - 22:02
i have uesed nod32 for about 4 years and never ever been infected of any viruses. but theres one thing that i dont like and it is that nod doesnt have any firewall and there is no ´firewall maker except antivirus vendors that have a good firewall. thats why i think kaspersky making a better work at the moment. read the test search about best antivirus, its always nod32 and kaspersky in the top....but nod32 doesnt have a firewall and vistas firewall is so bad. try it on some leaktest. terrible outgoing performans... this is only facts!

SYMANTEC SHIT !!!!

By Same1 on 13.02.2007 - 23:02

spysweeper

By lee on 14.02.2007 - 15:02
i do purchase a spyware remover yearly though, which each year i get a discount. last year paid 19.95 for spysweeper. this year even cheaper 19.95 for 15mos. haven't had any contagious malware since using spysweeper.

kaspersky

By Toni on 22.02.2007 - 20:02
ok. every avp program is o.k. but who is better.i make own test with isolated infections(viruses, lake test, firewall etc.)on cd for two days test all good avp.
1.k.i.s.6 (10 points) ; 2. bitdefender i.s.10 (9 points) ; mcafee 9 : (8.5 points); norton i.s.2006 (8 points) ; zone alarm;avira ;awg etc. results is basset on finding same infection for all program
